RACE DAY AERIALS

RACE DAY AERIALS FOR MOUNTAIN BIKE EVENTS

Downhill & enduro MTB
drone coverage.

The FPV follow cam is already how your sport's biggest edits get shot. We fly that format for race organizers — hand-flown chase lines down the hill, and a live feed into the stream you already run.

01 — THE FORMAT

Your sport already films this way.

Every landmark downhill edit of the last few years has an FPV quad in the trees behind the rider. That's the craft we fly — for races, not just film days.

Through the trees, not above them

A GPS camera drone films downhill racing from a hover, far overhead. A hand-flown FPV quad follows the rider into the trees, through the rock garden, and out of the last berm — the angle your riders and your audience actually want.

Whole runs, all day

10–13 minutes of flight per battery pack means full race runs covered top to bottom, race after race — with packs staged and swapped so the next rider on course isn't waiting on us.

Quiet where it counts

Mountain biking doesn't have engine noise to hide behind, and we don't pretend otherwise. Flight lines are planned so the aircraft is on a rider only where the coverage earns it — not parked over the start gate all day.

02 — WHAT YOU GET

Same package as every race we cover.

LIVE

A live feed into your stream

Clean HDMI or SDI at your booth, NDI on your production network, or RTMP straight to your ingest. Our aircraft shows up as another camera in your cut.

4K

Raw footage, same day

Every card offloaded and handed over before we leave the mountain — recaps, archive, socials.

SOCIAL

Vertical cutdowns

Reels sized for Instagram and TikTok, so your event has something to post while the weekend is still hot.

PAPERWORK

Nothing lands on your permit

Part 107 certification, LAANC airspace authorization and NOTAM filings are ours. COI naming your event or venue as additional insured, in your files within 24 hours.

03 — PROOF, HONESTLY LABELED

Judge the flying.

Straight answer: our race résumé so far is motocross — a full season as the official aerial crew for Emoto Racing Live, flying hand-built chase quads over live broadcasts. Every reel on this site was shot over moto, and it's labeled that way. What transfers to your hill is the part that's hard: holding a hand-flown chase on a fast, moving rider through rough terrain, live, without getting in the way of a race program. When we fly an MTB event, that footage takes over this page.

04 — BEFORE YOU BOOK

Questions MTB organizers ask.

Have you covered a mountain bike race before?

Not yet — and we'd rather tell you that than imply otherwise. Our race coverage so far is motocross, including a season of live broadcast work. The flying is the transferable part: hand-flown chase on a fast rider over rough ground is the same craft on a downhill course as it is on a moto track. Watch the reels and judge for yourself.

Can the quad actually follow through trees?

That's exactly what FPV quads are for. They're flown by hand through the pilot's goggles, not from a GPS hover — tight lines, tree gaps and steep terrain are the format's home ground. Course sections get walked and flown in practice before we ever chase a race run.

What about the noise?

A 5″ quad is loud up close and we plan around it. Chase segments are flown where the coverage matters, the aircraft holds off riders between runs, and flight lines are agreed with race direction so nobody on course gets buzzed. Riders in goggles at race pace hear far less of it than spectators do.

How do you operate on a mountain with no road access?

The kit packs in: quads, packs, radio and goggles carry to a launch spot agreed with you in advance. Batteries are staged for the day, and if your event runs shuttle or lift uplift we work with it. We need a clear launch/land spot and line of sight to the sections we're covering — that's it.

Are you insured for bike parks and private land?

Commercial drone liability and hull coverage, with a certificate of insurance naming your event, venue or land manager as additional insured for every booking. If your venue or permit has specific insurance requirements, send them over and we'll confirm coverage before you commit to anything.

Do you fly over riders or spectators?

Never over spectators. Chase lines run behind and beside riders, briefed to race direction before anything leaves the ground. If a shot can't be flown clear of people, we don't take it — same rule we run on every live moto broadcast.

What does it cost?

Same productized rate as every event we cover: race days from $600 for a four-hour minimum, $900 for a full 8-hour day, $1,600 for a two-day weekend. Travel is free within 50 miles of our Inland Empire base, then $1.00 a mile round-trip. Full rates are here.

Can you do a practice-day shoot first?

Gladly — a practice or shuttle day is the cheapest way for both of us to prove the coverage on your actual course before race day. Ask about it in your quote request.

Send your dates and your venue and we'll come back within 24 hours with availability, an exact quote, and a straight answer on what the coverage looks like for your course.
